About

Hi, I’m Natashia Janai and I am more than my roles.

I’m an introvert who loves people, a wife who still believes in inside jokes, a mom of three, and an assistant principal who cares deeply about kids, teachers, and creating spaces where everyone feels seen. I’m also a storyteller, a believer who wrestles honestly with faith, and the creative heart behind NOTES from Natashia and the NOURISH framework—life-giving tools designed to help you live with more intention and less guilt.

My Roots

I’m a proud Louisiana native, raised in the quiet rhythms of the countryside. Growing up an only child, I spent much of my childhood in solitude, but those quiet moments became the foundation of my strength and my deep belief in the power of reflection. They’ve carried me through motherhood, marriage, leadership, and legacy-building.

My Journey

Life for me isn’t perfect but it’s purposeful. With four college degrees, long days inside school walls, and even longer nights cheering from bleachers at track meets, basketball games, and volleyball matches, I know what it feels like to give until there’s barely anything left.

That’s why I created space for women like me; women who pour endlessly but rarely pause. NOTES from Natashia started as love letters to myself and evolved into a place for anyone craving balance, encouragement, and a reminder that you are more than the roles you play.

What I Believe

I believe in lifting as I climb. Through my service with organizations like Jack and Jill of America and The Junior League, I’ve seen how community changes lives. One day, I hope to become a full-time philanthropist, funding initiatives that empower families, nurture youth, and amplify women’s voices.

Whether I’m guiding teens toward their futures, nurturing my marriage, or creating digital sanctuaries of rest and reflection, I lead with heart, humor, and hope.

This Space Is For You

If your life looks like a color-coded circus—school drop-offs, late-night laundry, sports tournaments, group texts blowing up your phone—and somewhere in there you’ve forgotten the last time you did something just for you… I see you.

Here, you’ll find:
✨ Self-care that actually fits your life (even if it’s just 10 quiet minutes & a hydrating sheet mask)
✨ Marriage reminders that love takes work and laughter helps
✨ Family-first routines and simple tips to bring calm to the chaos
✨ Encouragement to show up as your whole self, not just your titles

Because you don’t need to do more. You just need space to focus on what truly matters.

Why I Write

Here, I write like I talk: direct, warm, and without pretending I have endless capacity. You’ll find reflections on faith, leadership, family, and legacy-building, plus resources like devotionals, card decks, digital tools, and community-centered projects (like Soul of the South Sports)—because building legacy matters to me, both on and off the court.

Pull up a chair. The porch light’s still on.

If you’ve been craving a place to feel seen, supported, and inspired to live fully (without burning out), you’re in the right place.

Let’s make room for the moments that last.
Ready to nourish your life one meaningful moment at a time? Welcome home..

It was about slowing down long enough to be together. This was the before.
The real magic was what happened around the table. The memories matter more than the stuff ever will. ✨ Scrapbook supplies from @michaelsstores

I have goals. Not because it’s a new year, new month, or new me but because of personal expectations! January isn’t...wasn’t a restart or a refresh, it’s rejuvenation! This wasn’t even a “content moment.” It was just S This wasn’t even a “content moment.”
It was just Sunday. The first Sunday of the new year.
No rushing. No chaos.
Just setting the tone for the week ahead. I love things that quietly make life easier without asking for attention, especially with another busy week as a family. This unboxing was less about the device and more about choosing a more organized, calm start because Monday will come either way. This is the kind of organization I’m carrying into this year. It’s linked where I always keep the things we actually use. #SundayReset
