Growing up, the holidays came with a sizzling soundtrack: the hiss of the straightening comb on the stove. 😩 If you know, you know—the ear burns, holding your ear like your life depended on it, and the unspoken rule to keep your head still. And don’t sweated out your fresh press before Christmas dinner or family photos!

Now that I’m older, I lowkey miss those moments. 🥺 Thinking back…It wasn’t just about hair; it was about bonding and the beauty routines passed down from one generation to the next.

Fast forward to today—when I do my daughter’s hair, it’s hours of work but it’s worth it. These moments remind me of sitting with my mom, knowing these small acts of care create memories that last a lifetime.
